This effort exists because New Orleans and Louisiana were not chosen when major infrastructure and aviation decisions were made. That absence was not the result of a lack of culture, talent, or relevance — it was the result of decisions made for other places, under other constraints.

What makes this moment different is that New Orleans is not constrained by congested hub legacies or entrenched airline networks. It is, uniquely, a blank sheet of paper — allowing advantages to be designed deliberately, from the ground up.
